If the military tried to attack American civilians, their bases, ports, air bases, truck and tank depots could be shutdown, isolated, and cut from food, power, water, and even road access within hours.
I was not talking about a possible future event, but rather one of the the principles underpinning the Second Amendment: that the citizenry has the right to be as well armed as their government.
That civilian citizens can are not and cannot be as well armed as our military does not, in my view, negate that principle, though. Nor does it mean everyone should be able go out and buy missiles and grenade launchers and whatnot. Being well-enough armed to resist should the unthinkable happen is sufficient.
