Agree, on Eastern Ukraine - Russia will NEVER let it go, and unless Europe is willing to send 5 million (straight) men, Russia won’t have much difficulty holding it. And even if Europe could find 5 million straight men, Russia will fully mobilize, if needed, to hold that land. They have NO INTENTION to have to fight for it again.
Ukraine treated their Russians well (enough) for 24 YEARS, and thus little violence and no need for Russia to intervene, but that wasn’t good enough for the Neocons, so they made their move in 2014...which forced the Russian response and puts us where are now.
