Another propaganda piece trying to get ahead of the blackouts that are being caused by the progressive left and so called green policies. Not that long ago blackouts were pretty rare even in the most extreme temperatures.
Climate change is partly to blame. A historic drought is covering the western US, limiting supplies of hydroelectric power, and forecasts call for a hotter-than-average summer. But the fight against global warming poses its own risks as older coal-fired plants close faster than wind farms, solar facilities and batteries can replace them.

Exactly. I’ve been on this bandwagon for years. If they’re going to be putting everybody in electric cars, we need to drastically increase our power plant infrastructure or we’re all going to be in a world of hurt.
All true. And EVs exacerbate it.
Not to mention the doubling of cost to run home generators.
