Of course you don’t have to add the /sarc when you are stating a simple truth. It wasn’t insurrection when police stations, courthouses, churches etc were being firebombed.
It’s important to remember what real insurrection looks like—a bunch of people who question Brandon’s winning 81 million votes in the dead of night wandering through a public building being careful to stay within the velvet ropes. Burning down the Supreme Court building or murdering Justices isn’t nearly as threatening to “our democracy”.
