I believe the report that these people are so out of touch that they were indeed caught flat footed by the opposition. Plus, her obnoxious record made her an egregiously bad choice for the job; she justifiably became a lightning rod. So like CNN+, after they recovered from the shock of reality, they had to cut their losses and throw some sacrificial offering under the bus.
Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving wretch.
I think what it means is she is going to be sidlined in another role while the board is retooled into something with a lower profile and a more serious chief.
