Incompetent, contrary to what military? Still listening to the media making up crap on the fly. Russia is going to win it, something the NATO militaries can’t do against opponents much weaker than Ukraine.
No, I really didn’t expect them to be so slow. But the stated goal is to wipe out nazi formations, protect the new republics of Donbass and Lugansk, and stop NATO in Ukraine. So with that in mind they haven’t attacked power and transportation infrastructure, the seats of government, etc.
But things have gone slower than I expected. Of course, they haven’t spent the last 20 years in an orgy of constant elective war like our peaceful government... so they aren’t nearly as experienced. Also they only spend about 10% on their military what we do.
Odd behavior for someone bent on world dominance. But quite in line with someone who really mostly wants to be left alone and have the ability to defend themselves.
