Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera told his co-host Tuesday on FNC’s “The Five” that American was “hooked on weapons” while discussing of the mass shooting in Buffalo, NY, on Saturday.
Rivera said, “Can I tell you about a dinner I had with President Trump in February 2018, the day after the Parkland school massacre? He and the first lady had just visited the victims in the hospital. He came to the dinner. He was rattled. It was a private dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Eric and Don Jr. were there, and Laura, but it was just us. And we were really head to head. The president asked, ‘What can I do? Those wounds were horrible.’ The rifle that Cruz had used to kill these 17 kids was — these wounds, they looked like war victims. And I said, ‘The kid is underaged. Why don’t you pass a juvenile assault weapons ban? A juvenile assault weapons ban. If you can’t buy a beer, you can’t buy an AR. If you can’t drive a semi, you can’t have an assault weapon. What’s wrong with that?'”

It’s difficult for me to imagine an unarmed household. My prepper parents maintained a full arsenal of almost 100 guns, most of which I still have. Sold off some crappers, but basically all of them are still with me. That’s not counting my purchases over the 14 years they’ve been dead
I'd be OK with that if you include voting too.
It’s a mystery.
From the vault.
Here’s how you work Whoraldo...as soon as he comes on, change the channel to Newsmax or something else then send FNC a nasty nite about Whoraldo on, FOX off.
US “news” is just rage bait programming with The View, Geraldo and even Tucker saying outrageous things that enrage people.
Well, another reason our household was unarmed until recently is that we had 3 boys/teens at home and even though all were Boy Scouts and could shoot well (one in particular is an excellent shot) and knew gun safety I worried about accidents and their teen friends.
“If you can’t buy a beer, you can’t buy an AR.”
Federal law says you can’t buy beer until you are age 21; but 18 year-olds are required to register for the draft.
And 18 year-olds can join the military and shoulder an M16; even a SAW. Even tote hand grenades around.
Just what is Rivera trying to say?
If Rivera thinks people under 21 should not be able to get married without parental consent, he should just say so.
Well ... you defunded the police, so when seconds count - the police will be there in minutes.
Maybe Jerry should go back to Puerto Rico

That liberal fantasy
That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or labourer’s cottage is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there.

Why so many guns? Not an antigunner I own a few myself but my thinking I’d need to keep an variety of rounds for each weapon, even assuming many are the same caliber. And the headache of maintenance and parts.
I’d rather have a few for each situation, a few handguns,a few rifles and a couple of shotguns. Family and friends have their own so no need for loaners
Just curious about it.
Who the heck listens to Geraldo Revolver.
Yeah. Passing another law will stop them. 🙄
“Libhole in the office has the “if no-one had guns this would never happen” mind set, she thinks guns should be banned and confiscated. I asked her if she’d be OK with her car being confiscated to eliminate drunk driving deaths. She couldn’t see the parallel”

Try this one, maybe she’ll understand: prior to entering a movie theater you must have your tongue removed, just to prevent one crazy person from yelling, “Fire!” and starting a lethal stampede. It’s for the children….
Most people are totally unaware that a Federal appeals court in CA ruled 6 days ago that their under 21 ban on the sale of “assault weapons” is unconstitutional. So, there’s that.
