The avg American drives 13,500 miles up from 12,000 last decade per year at 30 mpg that’s 450 gals per year of fuel or $4500 at ten bucks a gal or $375 per month. Not exactly world ending.

Did you purposely decide to not calculate the total cost that must be added onto every industry because of the increased energy cost? Your little story is pure B$ and the total cost to every American that will result because of $10.00 a gallon gasoline is astronomical.

$10 bucks a gallon not world ending? America will be in full depression unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Farms will shut down. Food will be extremely scarce let alone expensive. Those on pensions will chose euthanasia over starving to death and no medical care. Cities will burn for real this time.

We only have 30 some years of oil left in America? That’s so much Green unadulterated BS! This shortage is totally contrived by a handful of unelected oligarchs and technocrats, multi billionaires with their bought and paid for sock puppets.

Thank you for a good reaponse. His post was incredibly stupid, clueless and patronizing. Maybe he spends the extra on “cigars and scotch” but for most ordinary Americans it will mean real hardship and lowered financial stability, possibly even hunger as grocery prices continue to rise. As you said not just what they pay at the pump to get to and from work, but the additional inflation rolled into every item we buy ( on top of what is already happening). Goody for upper middle class folks who won’t be too harmed. It will be a different story for most hard working Americans.
