As usual, waiting to hear how the FBI was connected to this guy prior to his crime.
They might even roll out the “dropped the ball” excuse again. It’s been a while since we heard that one so they may pull it off the shelf again and trot it out.
Far be it from me to defend the FBI, but what exactly are they supposed to do in these cases?
It is not against the law to have extreme views or say stupid things and for every one of these nuts who act out there are probably a 1000 more that somebody called about. If the person broke the law they can investigate/prosecute, but unless that is established a crazy person has the same constitutional rights as every other person and who defines crazy? The elite media and left think that you and I are “crazy”.
It is a slippery slope.
Fact. We would have to lock up 1000’s of people or institutionalize them all when only a handful of them will act out like this. The rest will just go on making the people around them uneasy but won’t do anything like this.
I have plenty of criticism for the FBI and how political it has become but this is the one “issue” where I think they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
Using this logic of locking up 1000’s to prevent one nutjob is the same principle the left uses to target AR-15 rifles when only a handful of those might be involved in some horrific insanity like this.
You cannot even get them committed for mental health treatment for more than a few days in all but the worst incidents.
As stated above, most of these incidents involve mental illness with a heap of media induced grievance. Our country is in a dangerous place right now for so many reasons but many (mostly on the left) exacerbate the problems and we all live with the tragic consequences of crossing paths with disturbed persons.

Exactly. I can't see how a supposed "to do list" was posted anywhere in a game room or social media account without that reaching the FBI's or LE's radar.
Then there are always the family warnings which are ignored as well. We'll probably get some of that in this one too.
It is almost like these whackos believe in pre-destination or something thinking that if they can post or produce warning signs and not be stopped that they were pre-destined to do it. You see this with the jihadists as well. Allah granting them the ability to avoid detection and kill as if it was Allah's will that directed them on their path and not by their own actions. If they aren't stopped somehow in any evil deed they cook up, then Allah willed it to happen.
