Please tell my dead mother that none of her 7 kids should be alive, as they were all fed that evaporated milk recipe. Silly us, we thrived.
At the age of 6, I was trusted to make my 2 baby sisters' formula, using pet milk. Silly me, I thought it was "pet milk" and why did the baby girls have to eat pet food? Anyhoo, as the oldest girl, I got the glamor job of sitting up on the counter top, next to the stove. I mixed the formula, put it in the bottles and let Mom do the hot cooking part. Then I got to feed one or the other.
So, your insult and rebuke were not true.
