Mark for later
Socialists love the lockdown and ChiComs are still their leaders or role models.
Gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time. You remember, “15 days to flatten the curve”?
Never again.
It became apparent by May that it was not the threat it was thought to be.
I understand the very early precaution, but independently carried out antibody test studies of the general population in US, Europe and China showed the vast majority of people infected didn’t even know it. This was known in May.
This proved it was not the deadly killer initially feared. Also the demographics of the illness were known and consistent in that it was dangerous to very old and infirm or otherwise health compromised people.
They also ignored what the two weeks to flatten the curve was about. There was a fear that hospitals would be overwhelmed. It was to flatten, and therefore broaden, the curve, not reduce the area under the curve.
By May/June it was clear that the fear of inundation was not merited also.
Many actors used the initial perceived threat as a vehicle for their own goals, most egregious being the election fraud.
China’s lock-downs have reached the category of absurd, orwellian, and brutal. The stories coming out have gone beyond the insanity of china’s Cultural Revolution.
Nearly everyone believes they are completely politically-inspired, with Xi Jinping battling rivals (mostly from Shanghai) for control of the CCP.
US media generally ignores the whole situation. Its too close to home to the US deep-state/left’s own ideology.
>> Canadian Armed Forces [found] a unique opportunity to test propaganda techniques on the public, “shaping” and “exploiting” information
And we have the Pfentagon and the likes of Lockheed Martin. I recall an article that described a similar technique called “Crowd Stalking”.
Unfortunately, most have difficulty with unknowns, and would rather have conclusions formed by others on their behalf.
