The serial killer who murdered 13-year-old schoolgirl Milly Dowler has got engaged and has asked for permission to have a prison wedding, the Ministry of Justice has confirmed.
Levi Bellfield is serving two whole life orders for murdering Milly, plus Marsha McDonnell and Amelie Delagrange. He was handed a whole life term for murdering Ms McDonnell, 19, in 2003, and murdering Ms Delagrange, 22, and attempting to murder Kate Sheedy, 18, in 2004. Bellfield was serving this sentence when he went on trial for killing Milly. Bellfield snatched her from the street when she walking from school to her home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, in March 2002. Bellfield was found guilty of abducting and killing the 13-year-old following a trial at the Old Bailey in 2011.
Now the Sun reports that Bellfield has asked for permission to get married in prison - after he got down on one knee to propose to a female visitor in front of prison staff at HMP Frankland in County Durham.
Former Justice Secretary Robert Buckland told The Sun newspaper, which first reported the application, that Belfield's proposed prison nuptials “beggar belief”. He told The Sun: “Milly never got to see her wedding day. It cannot be right that he gets to have his.”

I tried to explain to a liberal that capital punishment is societal self-defense. But after an hour of trying I could not get him to understand the concept of self-defense. The foundations of the Leftist concept of "what it is to be a good person" are egalitarianism and altruism.
To be a Leftist is to deny the idea that "MY life matters more than another's" (except if you are a woman contemplating abortion).
If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, ask this fundamental question (especially if he's with his girlfriend, wife, or child):
"Let's say a person is about to murder (selected loved one), and your only means of stopping the murder is to kill the attacker. Does the life of (selected loved one) matter MORE to you than the life of the attacker?"
Watch his reaction. He will probably refuse to answer.

Answer: “All that phrase means is ‘Do I think that black lives have a value greater than zero?’. Sure. But MY life, and the lives of those I love, matter MORE!”

Once I am allowed to say “My loved ones matter MORE”, then all sorts of things follow.
I can say “I would rather spend what is extracted from me for ‘social justice’ and equity, in order to enhance the lives of those I love.”
I can say “I value the lives of those I love over the lives of those who I see desiring to harm them, therefore I have the right to act to protect them. Even preemptively.”
I can say “I choose not to support affirmative action for others, at the expense of those I love”.
The Left cannot allow people feeling that they have the right to say that. The Left MUST slam in that having such thoughts and feelings mean you are a terrible person. Otherwise their power evaporates, because it is built on the foundation of them being allowed to define what characterizes a good person.
