Nearly all these kids’ waking hours are spent at school/in an after school program on weekdays. Parents get all of two two or three hours between picking up the child and putting to bed.

Yep. The public schools are raising the kids. Parents hand their children over 5 days a week.

That's why these teachers see themselves as more important than the parents.

Anyone else doing this to kids would be arrested. Why is it ok for “teachers”? Just start having them arrested.

So kind of you to warn me but no way will I go into education. The combination of having worked in a school and what is happening now in the schools of education lead me to believe that would not be a good choice for me (altho I was looking forward to a professor's asking me about my pronouns and I'll miss out on that).
