It’s an open primary state. why do they have to change their registration ?

Are they locked into a party once they've voted in the primary?

Do they have to vote the same party in the primary and general elections?

And it’s WHY we have Trump and no one wants to abandon him. I have not regarded myself as a ‘Republican’ for decades...I’d be TOO ashamed!

Here’s an example.

In Ohio where I am, there is unsettled redistricting going on, so in our recent primary, some issues were not on the ballot.
We will get to vote on them when the redistricting is finalized. So, I contacted the RNC to ask about the date for that and HOW we would be notified about voting at that point. ( I don’t buy the local newspaper )

The half-wit at the RNC who answered me said:
1. I don’t understand your question
2. When he DID understand the question, he said I should contact the RNC for the vote date, because they have no notification protocol in place, to let us know.
3. I explained, ‘That means I’ll have to check with them daily, so I won’t miss the chance to vote’.
4. He’s SO stupid, he agreed.
5. To show him what a stupid idea that was, I suggested, “Maybe the RNC can include the vote date notification with one of their many requests for money.’
6. The moron agreed that it was a good idea. (Proving MY lifelong conviction that it’s impossible to insult stupid people.)

So, it took six f’n e mails to arrive at back where I started.

Voters must affiliate with a party to vote in that party’s primary.

Unaffiliated voters may register with a party at the polls on primary election day to vote in that party’s primary.

Because of crap like this, voting is not going to avail us. The Demonrats will register as many of their kamikazes as Republicans as they need, will bring in as many illegal aliens and dead people as they need, will put their finger on the scales in Dominion/ESS/etc voting machines, will hire as many vote-by-mail mules to ballot harvest as they need.

The deep-rooted subversion of our institutions can only be overcome by cultural revolution, and sadly, open war.
