People have been told to stay indoors in a national lockdown as North Korea declares a "grave national emergency".

News is fresh, single sentence above is all there is.

Why? Makes no sense to do this based on the Coof we know, so is it something other than the Coof we know, and they are really trying to stop a disease spread?

Or is it for some other reason altogether?

It's not to advance social controls, they have plenty of that already and don't need excuses to do whatever they want.

Why do it? Why is China doing it?

Maybe it's an experiment, to see what works well and what doesn't, and how people might react, during a potential war time scenario where they fear starvation could lead to civil unrest.

China could be doing it to cause supply chain issues, manipulate commodity markets, all sorts of strategic issues, but not the Norks.

In post number 1, my comment on the article, I clearly said the news was fresh and the only thing at the link was the sentence I posted, so the article’s been added in the last few minutes but irregardless, the rest of my comment went on to dismiss your Coof as a reasonable explanation of the policy on their part as well as China’ but whatever forget it, you’re right, they are doing it for the coof. It’s the coof, thanks, now we know, BA.2 lockdown, got it. Carry on.

I just said he’s a badass and he pulls lots of chicks regardless of his weight issues. He’s objectively a badass. He runs his country with an iron fist, developed his own nuclear weapons program and ICBM’s with the entire weight of the “free world’s” sanctions and political pressure against him. That’s a badass.

Considering the brutality of the N. Korea and China leadership, is it too much to imagine that they are using covid as an excuse to lock down and to kill off more of their population?

China has many to spare and NK has trouble feeding the ones they have.
