This might be the answer as to why Trump endorsed Oz.

Assuming this "report" is true, it still doesn't make Trump's endorsement of Oz any more palatable.

Oz cannot answer honestly about abortion. His flip-flop was too well timed to be in alignment with his political aspirations.

He was all on board with "systemic racism" being one of the biggest problems in medicine, and more personal positions that should be patently abhorrent to any right thinking Conservative.

That said, while I haven't served in the military, my father, uncles, grandfather, great grandfather did and I can trace my family's military service back to our time in the old country.

The same for Dr. Oz. He's lying to the public about his true stance on abortion, his statements about systemic racism being a huge problem in medicine and more. He cannot nor should not be trusted with political office.

What's going to suck about all this is that Democrats will likely get the seat now. The complete failure of the Republican Party in PA (and elsewhere, including my own state) to field quality, fully vetted candidates with unimpeachable backgrounds may be the very reason the Stupid Party (Republicans) don't take back BOTH the House & Senate this year.

I'm seemingly never disappointed by the Republican Party's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

IF the reports about Barnette are true and she's deliberately misleading the public, she should do the right thing and step down from the race. Lying about one's military service to get into office is flat out wrong. (Sidney Blumenthal anyone?)

She didn't lie. It is an honor even to be accepted into Officers' Candidate School. I always include my time at the University of Chicago undergrad, even though I transferred and graduated from Christendom College. U of C even considers me an "alumnus", though I wouldn't hold it against the school if it didn't.

Anyway, for some employers, even being accepted and having attended U of C is considered a marker of intelligence and ability. It is not a lie for me to provide accurate information for them to make their own judgement, even though my degree is from Christendom.

Don't ask a good conservative to drop out unless you have someone better in mind.
