More Americans died from drug overdoses in 2021 than any previous year, a grim milestone in an epidemic that has now claimed 1 million lives in the 21st century, according to federal data released Wednesday.
More than 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2021, up 15 percent from the previous year, according to figures released Wednesday by the National Center for Health Statistics. The sobering tally reflects challenges exacerbated by the pandemic: lost access to treatment, social isolation and a more potent drug supply.

They use cheap dime store blenders to mix the fentanyl in with the other drugs they are selling before they mold the pills. The blenders do a bad job of blending, such that one pill has practically no fentanyl, but the next one kills you.
We should call it what it is. It’s an act of war against the USA by China, Mexico and India.

that was why Breaking Bad is popular...which I despise. I go to studio meetings and when I tell them I dont get it or it’s overrated, they go bonkers like I insulted their mothers.
Exactly, what a crap article. Still using the term ‘opioid epidemic’ and refusing to distinguish between prescriptions and illicit drug use. Our county did a study reviewing all the ODs in 1 week. 37 ODs, 36 from illicit dug use and shooting up, 1 from pills that were not even the persons prescription.
This is all about Fentanyl pouring through our open borders.
That would explain random deaths, but when a stronger batch than normal hit the streets, we would get a bunch of dead people all over town in just a couple of days. Then things would go back to normal.
When I was working it was mostly people shooting up with a syringe who we found dead but there were plenty who had taken pills as well often mixed with alcohol and I do not doubt what you say.
No ....this is somehow Trump fault....

A few months ago a friend called me early Saturday morning to tell me that his 22 year old son had overdosed the night before. My friend hadn’t called his mom yet. I think he was practicing on me.
The kid had everything going. Good job, college degree, strong Christian family. They thought he’d conquered it.
Just asking. I don’t watch the MSM.
