IMHO the states that ban abortion should have a law forcing the biological "parents" to pay child support to the foster parents/orphanage who raise the kid. That'll not only help fund the child raising, it'll also be a disincentive to the baby makers.
That's always been the rub with me regarding abortion: the "parents" making the decision to make the baby were never the ones aborted, just they kept making more babies. Abortion removed the natural consequences of the decision to make the baby. Child support puts some of cost back where it belongs -- onto the "parents" who make the baby with no intention of raising her.
Also, when the kids misbehave in schools put the parents in detention WITH THEM.
