Yes, I agree with your thoughts there.
Math is so important.
Stopped in at a McDonald’s off Highway 99 in mid-Califoria
a few months back. The cashier, an attractive Black very
courteous young woman’, was incapable of displaying any math
skills during our interaction.
She was sweet, but I felt sorry for her. I gave her a bill
she needed to make change for, and she was ready to give
me back way too much money. I could have quadruped my
funds, if I had been that type of person.
I carefully explained what I was doing, why, and how it
was the reasoned change for me to get. She stood there
and watched, not offended in the slightest.
What in the Sam Hell are we doing to these young people?
It angers me to see her level of skill, so diminished from
what it could be.
Her math teachers should be fired. She seemed about high
school graduation age. How could any dedicated teacher
fail this person so completely?
We had American History, World History and Government classes in high school in the 60-70’s in Ohio. We were products of parents that went through the Depression and WW2. A lot of our generation went through the Korean world and Viet Nam. Most of our young people in school today weren’t even born yet when 9/11 happened. If they aren’t taught in school about these things and our nations history they won’t know what truly bad times are.
I grew up in Florida and was in one of the last classes to be mandated to take Americanism v. Communism.
BRING IT BACK!
Mine was taught by a Cuban who had escaped Communism under Castro. THANK YOU, MR. FUMERO!
You could lose the word "governor" and the statement might still be true.
OMG! Lefties gonna go cray!
The good old days when us kids could get a reasonable education and, with a bit of effort, an excellent one. Modern ‘educated’ people can’t even name their state capitol
Probably his Democrat predecessor, Chiles/Child’s, or whatever his name was.
The Nebraska governor declared July 2021 Victims of Communism Month.
Back cover of "The Persecutor" by Sergei Kourdakov.
DeSantis requires Florida students to learn about ‘victims of communism’
Awesome- US history from 2008 to 2015 and 2000 to present.
Lawton Chiles. Maybe. He was somewhat conservative compared to the way Democrats are now. But maybe he’s the one that succeeded in getting it removed.
Yes...like Jim Jones and his followers...which include people in Congress to this day!
No. We need him. We may be the only free state left.
I agree with you.
They should show videos and still photos of all the people shot dead by the communists. Show a million thumbnail photos then say now times this by at least 100. Kick out any kid wering a Che t-shirt!
Mao was the biggest killer with at least 45 million in just 4 years. Over 60 million while in power, may be much more.
What gets me is why anyone in America would do business with the Chinese communists knowing they still are killing vast amount of people.
The democrats have committed mass murder using the chinese virus and denying known medicine that could have saved lives and prevented crippling many more people.
In Cuba writer Earnest Hemingway would setup a chair and drink while watching Che and his fellow murders execute men, women and children. He invited a writer named George Plimpton to witness. George Plimpton covered up what he saw for many many years. You may remember him as being on ABC tv many times.
He probably did not want his career interrupted by telling the truth.
I like to think Ernest Hemingway blew his brains out with a shotgun for supporting Castro and Che.
Just one of many communist mass murderers:
Vasily Blokhin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Blokhin
He is recorded as having executed tens of thousands of prisoners by his own hand, including his killing of about 7,000 Polish prisoners of war during the Katyn massacre in spring 1940,[2][3] making him the most prolific official executioner in recorded world history.
-snip-
Blokhin and his team worked without pause for 10 hours each night, with Blokhin executing an average of one prisoner every three minutes.[3] At the end of the night, Blokhin provided vodka to all his men.[17] On 27 April 1940, Blokhin secretly received the Order of the Red Banner and a modest monthly pay premium as a reward from Joseph Stalin for his “skill and organization in the effective carrying out of special tasks”.[18][19] His tally of 7,000 shot in 28 days remains the most organized and protracted mass murder by a single individual on record
Animal Farm is a better choice.
