I’ve seen this nonsense posted by numerous people. It’s a complete and total lie.
President Trump did not pick Fauci. Fauci has been in that department for DECADES. He was there when President Reagan was president. He rose to prominence during the AIDS epidemic and became the AIDS Czar. Which led to him eventually leading the department.
He has led that department for many years. President Trump inherited that guy.

If Trump had done his homework he would have known Fauci was a fraud on AIDS. He was part of the vanguard that made AIDS a propaganda tool for homosexual activists.
There was no reason for Trump to push him to front on COVID. There are plenty of doctors whose specialties are public health or epidemiology. Fauci isn't one of those.
