Like Russia in recent years, long before Pearl Harbor Japan had a long history of aggressive action to seize territory from other sovereign nations. As far back as 1894 Japan began attacking the Chinese. They took Formosa and other islands and annexed Korea in 1910. They invaded Manchuria in 1931.
So all this talk about US embargoes is horseshit. Just like the excuses you make for your boy Putin.
