It’s a horrible decision that should be reversed. The Court at the time said there was no “rational basis” - the lowest possible level of scrutiny, for not providing a free education to illegal immigrants. Like...cost, maybe?
I don't think there's a lot of disagreement that a educated population makes everyone, including government, richer.
What's the cost to have a large uneducated sub-population?
Or like the fact that the taxpayers have no onligation to educate the children of foreign nationals in the country illegally.
