It was a ridiculous complaint to begin with.

I wonder if that was part of the game plan. The dem lawyers were terrible, objectively so, but maybe the play was to just establish thst these charges can be brought and heard in a trial, and not thrown out immediately for being ridiculous on its face. If they can't win, they can certainly draw out the process of losing.

That these charges could even have been brought to court ARE the very reason that the word “Insurrection “ was chosen (by the democrats and their national press corpse) any and every day since November 4.

They needed “Insurrection “ be available so the 14th Amendment could be invoked. Riot? Treason? Violence? Murder? Fattening? None are serious enough!
