After Lavrov's hideous antisemitic Nazi remarks, for which Putin had to apologize to Israel, new directives apparently landed at the state TV studios. Now they claim that Nazism doesn't have to be antisemitic and in its new iteration it is [drumroll] anti-Slavic and anti-RussianMay 5, 2022
Russians called those in the 1968 Prague Spring movement and the 1956 Hungarian uprising “Nazis,” too. In their demented minds, anyone who opposes their hegemony is a “Nazi.”
No, they actually used the term "Fascists", since to call them "Nazis" would have implied that they were fellow Socialists. And also Fascist is a much more broad term they could apply to anyone who opposed Communism and Soviet domination.
Russia has half of the world’s neo-Nazis in their own country.
No.. go back and read when Soviet propaganda, in opposing Hungarian resistance figure Imre Nagy, pushed the notion he was a Nazi sympathizing holdover. They did the same toward Alexander Dubcek in Czechoslovakia in 1968.
So then China, which has concentration camps, a genocide and sterilization program and slave labor for Uighers, but is not anti-Semitic, can be Nazi? Well, then why is Putin so chummy with them?
