An EMP attack will destroy beyond recovery the electric motors in these vehicles. A few friends of mine who have Teslas are concerned over this and that is why they have a fossil fuel powered vehicle as well.
If you need any more proof that many Americans can’t even do basic math, this story is it.
Such BS propaganda
Drive oil out of business and see what they do.
An expensive electric car with no resale value after 10 years unless you put in a new battery that costs half of the wholesale price. That loses efficiency over time. And is a fire hazard. And is made of materials controlled by other countries.
No sale.
Elon Musk is a baaaaad dude!!!!
EMP destroys internal combustion engines too.
Cars from the 60s and 70s are experiencing a tripling in price at auctions.
New charging stations are drawing copper thieves.
I want a nuclear powered car. Voyager has like an ounce of Uranium and it’s like halfway to the dog star or something.
Good thing electricity is free.
Dumb people.
Green Energy propaganda
Until they make cars with quick change batteries so you don’t have to wait to charge, electric cars will remain impractical.
Overpriced exploding golfcarts...toot toot..allabourd.
Last year, my semi burned $62,000 in fuel, for just over 90K miles. My AR for the year was $357k.
This year, my projected fuel costs are $125K for 110k miles of use. I’m averaging $5,300 every two weeks for diesel. Even though my fuel surcharge rate has risen dramatically, I won’t know the actual profit/loss until January.
Many other trucking companies are doing the same calculations.
Am I looking at an electric tractor? Not just no, but f_ck no.
The other day it got pretty warm so I turned on the AC on my way to Raleigh. Ran into a construction zone where traffic was backed up. I noticed that every vehicle had its windows rolled up, also using AC. Except for the two Teslas in the mix.
But leave the microprocessors with which all modern motor vehicles (incl. gasoline-powered) are stuffed unscathed?
Regards,
More liberal drivel.
We’re subsidizing every aspect of the “green” energy sector, while punishing every aspect of fossil fuel production.
The world is awash is oil, there is no shortage.
Wait until this pipe dream has to stand on its own, and see what it costs. The elite will have their jets and limos, and we will have donkeys, if we can feed them.
