you think this is unrealistic? history is full of scenarios where rulers were quite happy to ruin their domain in order to save themselves and their power.

yes. it actually makes a great deal of sense in that context.

for anyone able to move out of the US, preferably out of the first world completely, this is your wake-up call. there isn’t too much time left.

if I had my options open still, I would be looking closely at brazil/arg/chile, though it has been a long long time since I was that far south. no opinion on any country between the 3.
