President Joe Biden opposed the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize abortion one year after Roe v Wade.
“I don’t think that a woman has the sole right to say what should happen to her body,” he told the Washingtonian in 1974, one year after the court legalized abortion.

Republicans have no need to justify anything pertaining to the decision, and no one knows what percentage of Americans are for or against an unrestricted right to abortion.

Too bad it wasn’t legally available when he was conceived!
There are no national polls suggesting that overturning Roe v. Wade is a popular idea. So like it or not, Republicans will be forced to defend an unpopular position. It might be popular in very red states, but nationally it is a big loser for Republicans. And it will lead to looser abortion laws nationwide. Republicans breaking out the chick-fil-A are being a little premature— unintended consequences don’t just bite the Left.
