Israelis fighting in Ukraine are not "mercenaries," but volunteer fighters. As usual this is projection, since Russian professional soldiers are literally "mercenaries," they are hired on as "contractors" and are called such by the Russians.
Many former IDF have been training soldiers and fighting in Ukraine for the past 8 years, even joining and training the much exaggerated and maligned "Azov" battalion.
Meanwhile, all of Russia's separatist leaders in the Donbass, sent to rule that breakway region, were literal Nazis. Russia today has been funding and training Nazis since 2008 through the FSB and GRU for just this purpose.

I read yesterday that Israel responded to Lavrov's idiocy by allowing the Baltics to ship Israeli weaponry to Ukraine.
I hope the Ukrainians sent a note to the Russian Foreign Ministry asking them to keep up the good work.
