They have been doing it since the 70s.. Carter raising the department of education to a cabinet level position gave these folks a single point of attack to compromise the entire educational system and they have been doing it ever since.
No need to convince individual school districts or states, just get the dept or education to agree, and demand districts do it or lose funding
Her tirade against privatization of public schools argues completely off the inconvenient point that public schools are such a tragic failure. From fuzzy math to sight-reading to elimination of honors programs, public schools are stealing quality basic education from generations of young Americans.
We are right over the target and they are scared. They don't have any evidence, examples, or arguments other than lies and false accusations. The right, on the other hand, has plenty to the contrary.
When it comes to government schools there is ample evidence they are exceedingly poor educating children. We have test scores. The evidence is clear when you speak to a young adult or read something they write.
People have concluded the reason for the poor and over priced education children receive is very simple. Schools are not focusing on the right things. The pandemic opened parents' eyes. Parents were able to stay home and see teachers spew their tripe online. There are videos all over the place.
But if there is any doubt about the crap government schools are pushing, just listen to the lack of evidence teachers, administrators, school boards, Democrats and the media pushes. Their argument boils down to that of a second-grader pointing his finger and yelling, "You lie". They are not able to point to success.
They are failures.

When an article starts with disinformation, you can bet the rest is bunk too. When teachers jobs are lost due to declining enrollment, Randi is going to be blamed for exodos of children out of public schools.

A friend in Alexandria, VA, said about 150 teachers were hired by Catholic schools to meet the rising demand. Another private school bought a building to hold their new students. Parents, even in liberal enclaves, are pulling their kids quickly. Houston lost 11,000 students since the covid scares started. I don’t think they’re going back.
Start fresh with all new personnel or forget it.
