A few years ago I started taking Vitamin D. Started out with 10,000 units a day and then I got my blood checked and the Vitamin D number was 84 which is on the high side. So I have sensed dropped down to 5000 units a day.
No Covid 19, colds or the flu.
Part of the problem is dosage. It’s very hard to know how much is enough and how much is too much of anyone thing, each person is different. It doesn’t help that doctors didn’t seem willing to help find that balance other than “Get the vaccine!”
With ivermectin it was made clear that it was to be based on body weight. But I only got a five day supply via AFLD. By the time it became clear that I needed to take it (in the seconds week resurgence of an illness I thought had passed) I probably needed a double dose (per FLCCC protocol). But I was left to my own devices. I got through it anyway.
Was it the Vitamin D and not the Ivermectin? Lol, who knows???
>>Anyone who lives in the northern hemisphere especially. It might even be warm enough in March or April to sit outside and sunbathe, but due to the sun angles and earth tilt, there are too many layers of atmosphere for the suns rays to penetrate. Consequently it doesn’t do any good at all in terms of building natural D. This is what I have been told.<<
I have absolutely NO science to back it up, but I’ve always suspected that Vit D deficiency in the general population can be laid at the feet of fear over sun exposure skin cancer, the liberal use of sunblock, and just generally staying out of direct sun. Of course it’s worse in the Northern hemisphere where we’re effectively limited to about 4 months out of 12 that have more sunshine than gray skies.
Same here, although it was mild
Not who you’re responding to but throwing it out there that I take 2000 IU daily and level just came back at 68.

I recently read somewhere that around 50ng per ml of blood is normal. Can it be too high? Not sure.
I take a vitamin(s) pill, which includes vitamin D, and then I take another pill of vitamin D by itself.
................................................
I take 10,000 IU (2 softgels) of D3 every morning.
My one quibble is this...
The study also found that Vitamin D is effective against COVID-19 regardless of the Vitamin D levels in the blood.
Nope.
There exists a goodly-sized body of work that suggests that Vitamin D blood levels are directly correlated with covid disease prevention, and inversely with disease severity.
And, as an aside, vitamin D is good, but not magic.
I will still get (protein-based) covid and flu vaccinations.
And, I hope everyone taking vitamin D is also taking vitamin K (prevent hardening ogf arteries D can cause w/o K
We’ll I’ve had it twice, and I’m still taking vitamin D! Does just as good as the jab!
WTF?
The article says it reduces, not eliminates, risk.
SMDH
I remember first reading about the vitamin D link from the Dilbert creator Scott Adams early on. He speculated there was a link between those who died and low vitamin D levels.
“I take 10,000 IU (2 softgels) of D3 every morning.”
Buying 10000 IU is the least expensive way to buy D3. The red bottle at Amazon by Carlyle AND shocker >>> It is $2 less than last year.
If you prefer taking 5000 D3 daily, then just take 10000 IU every second day...... 5000 iu daily is the minumum in my book and take it with K2
I believe the important factor is that the Vitamin D3 levels in your blood need to be over 50ng/ml (I might have the units wrong, but you can look it up) to avoid hospitalization (it doesn’t necessarily prevent CoVid infection - it prevents serious consequences). If you have a high level of body fat, the Vitamin D tends to get tied up in your fat. The Vitamin D3 levels in your blood needs to be at the optimum level (not Vitamin D in your fat). You can get a simple blood test to confirm the Vitamin D levels in your blood.
_____________
AGREE! All insurances will pay for blood tests. There is no excuse for not finding out your D3 levels. Right about fatties getting their D3 locked up. So what. Take 10000 iu D3 daily to overcome this and work on losing weight. D3 also increases your serotonin output.
The FLCCC and dozens of others reported this 18 months ago, and it’s been discussed here ad nauseum since then.
“Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin.
Too many folks spend far too much time indoors.”
High D3 levels increase Serotonin output which gives you a sunny and positive disposition. D3 is actually an all purpose hormone. You can look it up. The older you get, the less effective is sunlight for creating D3 at your skin.
D3 cannot be mentioned enough these days with Covid etc and all the extreme Covid paranoia in America and the developed world.
Yup. Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine are dirty words at the CDC, FDA, and NIH.
