Hmmmm. Isn’t this the way business has been, is, and probably will continue to be conducted in the domestic Russian economy?

Guess Russia landed on the "Go directly to jail, do not collect $200" slot.

We and the Europeans created the post-WWII economic order. If you don't want to play by the rules, we can kick you out. We should consider the same with China.

I’m glad you posted this interview. Here’s a real key takeaway from the interview I took:

https://www.farsnews.ir/en/news/14010212000091/FM-Rssia-Never-Sps-Effrs-Preven-Nclear-War

[article excerpt]

“Russia has never stopped efforts to reach agreements that will guarantee the non-initiation of a nuclear war,” he emphasized in an interview with Italy’s Mediaset broadcaster.

(snip)

Lavrov pointed out that Western media outlets had distorted his remarks on the risks of nuclear war, which did no credit to Western journalism.

“I was asked about the threats that were piling up and how real the risks of nuclear war were. This is literally what I said: Russia has been working tirelessly to achieve agreements that would guarantee no one will start a nuclear war. It was us that urged our American colleagues to once again do what Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan did in 1987, that is, adopt a statement and confirm that there could be no winners in a nuclear war and it should never be unleashed,” Lavrov noted.”

[end article excerpt]

Russia doesn’t want nuclear war, no matter what some moron panelist or guest on their RT or other channels might say. They’re not stupid.

The “Russia going to use nukes!” hype is meant to get Western audiences invested in the drama, as is the new force authorization resolution by Kinzinger.

Go turn on CNN. They’re wall-to-wall on Ukraine. There’s a reason for that, and it’s not about ratings or to help the GOP.

The focus on Ukraine is meant to help Biden and the Dems. Which is why Pelosi just went over there.

So much for due process, and the rule of law.

Progs and leftists have an increasing taste for outright theft of money on political grounds.

Can’t wait to see so-called “conservatives” response to Fed.gov appropriating / stealing your money because you are involved in “disinformation” or “insurrection.”

It is really looking like this administration is trying to start a major war to try and salvage the sinking political ship. They are going to get thousands, perhaps millions of our young people killed.

Our Gov, and the UK seem to think stealing other countries’ money, freezing assets, sanctions are acceptable for the “rules based order”.

Unfortunately, the “rules” change depending on whose assets the Governments wish to steal. “A rose by any other name is still a rose”, and theft by any other name is still theft.

Um no.. Lav. It’s your boss who stole (or destroyed.. but same thing) the wealth of Ukraine. Consider the $300b reparations for theft and loss of life.

It is not surprising the accounts were seized.

It would not be surprising to see US/British/German/Polish patent rights for Russia sold off in the future with IOUs payable to the prior patent holders from the seized funds.

Thievery is a thing among governments. During the Spanish Civil War the gold reserves of the Republic were sent to Moscow for safe keeping never to be returned. Equivalent of about $8 billion worth today.

Pretty simple, really.
