VLADIMIR PUTIN'S threat to deploy nuclear weapons against Ukraine and the West has been swiftly debunked by an expert, who suggested that Moscow and St Petersburg would be "wiped out within 90 seconds" if he launched nukes.
This comes as Putin repeatedly uses the threat of nuclear war to warn the West and NATO against intervening in Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
M r Wright pointed to Russia's arsenal which includes over 2,000 nuclear warheads, adding the surprise success of the Ukraine military has "inflamed" the Russian leader.
Mr Fox responded: "Nuclear blackmail is a very, very difficult game and I think the Russian generals know that.
Anyone sensible in Putin's military knows that because there are no winners there.
"Were he to use it, god help us. But St Petersburg and Moscow would be wiped out within 90 seconds!"

Not if they use tactical nukes against Ukraine only. The west will do nothing.
I never imagined how many conservatives and Republicans support Putin.
I now fully understand why the DNC tried to smear conservativism with links to Putin.

By whom exactly? The UK gave up control of it’s nukes to the spineless UN. Biden is too busy pooping his pants in front of foreign dignitaries. France’s nukes are probably as usable as their aircraft carrier.
“swiftly debunked by an expert”
Journalism in 2022. Now with adverbs.
What is surprising to me is the number of Ukrainians that seem to be supporting Putin. I saw a video the other day of Ukrainians welcoming the Russians in along the side of the roads as they passed by.
Amazing, ain’t it?
We need an “expert” to tell us this? I guess we’ll need another “expert” to explain what happens to NYC and DC 90 seconds after Moscow disappears. These facts have kept the peace for 70 years. The maniacs in DC pushing this nuclear confrontation seem to have forgotten how WWIII was always assumed to start and play out.
Russia could use battlefield nukes on the territory of Ukraine with impunity.
NATO would not intervene militarily.
That’s why I expect it to occur.
‘The Buzzer’ stops, minutes later ‘the Dead Hand system’ kicks in. Game over for all of us.
“I now fully understand why the DNC tried to smear conservativism with links to Putin.”
How liberal of you.
You might want to take a look at the people who support Ukraine. It’s a list of who’s who’s af American hating trash.
Not true:
Quote: Although the UK’s nuclear deterrent is assigned to the defence of NATO, we retain full operational control over its use. Only the UK Prime Minister can authorise the use of our nuclear weapons, even if used as part of a wider NATO response.
They wouldn't respond with a nuclear strike of their own. But they would respond.
“The UK gave up control of it’s nukes to the spineless UN.”
It did? Do you have a source for that?
MAD: Mutual Assured Destruction
Mutually
Russia has failed Putin. Therefore, just as Hitler issued his “Nero Decree” in 1945, so Germany would pay for failing him, Russia will have to pay for failing Putin.
“It is not necessary to worry about their [the German people’s] needs for elemental survival.” Hitler said, in the waning days of the war in Europe. “The future belongs entirely to the strong people of the East.”
Ironically, Putin now plans for “the strong people of the East,” the Russian people, whom Hitler came to admire, to be utterly destroyed by a nuclear counter-strike by the west.
But, the German generals did not carry out Hitler’s so-called “Nero Decree,” and the German people survived so as to rebuild their country. We will now see that the Russian generals do.
Why should a nuke be used in Ukraine?
Mr Wright pointed to Russia’s arsenal which includes over 2,000 nuclear warheads,

and would be appalled to learn Russia has more than 5,900 warheads.
