Trump Endorses Mike Pence’s Brother for Congressional Reelection in Indiana

Former President Donald Trump on Friday endorsed the older brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, Rep. Greg Pence (R-Ind.), in his congressional reelection bid.

“Congressman Greg Pence is doing a great job representing the people of Indiana’s 6th Congressional District,” Trump wrote in a statement on Friday that was shared on Twitter by his spokeswoman, Liz Harrington.

“A former First Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, Greg continues to proudly serve our Country in the U.S. House of Representatives. Greg is working hard to reverse Joe Biden’s disastrous record of out-of-control Inflation and restore the respect our Country deserves from abroad,” the former president went on to say.

“He is Strong on the Border, Protects Life, Defends the Second Amendment, and Supports our brave Military and Vets. Greg Pence has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” he said.

Pence, a 65-year-old businessman, has held Indiana’s 6th Congressional District seat since he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018.

“My priorities will always be creating jobs, growing the economy, protecting our borders, and providing for our fighting men and women—both during and after their service,” he is quoted as saying on his campaign website.

The Columbus resident has been a strong supporter of the Trump-Pence agenda and served on the committees for transportation and infrastructure, as well as the committee on foreign affairs from 2019 to 2020.

Pence currently serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Subcommittee on Energy, and Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce in the 117th Congress.

Before he started serving in U.S. Congress, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1979 in his hometown of Columbus until 1984. He then became the president of the Kiel Brothers Oil Company from 1998 until 2004.

“I will always put Hoosiers of the 6th District and Indiana first,” he said. “I am honored to represent the place I live and the only place I will ever call home.”

Trump has made a flurry of endorsements ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, including Joe Lombardo (R-Nev.) and Rep. Ted Budd (R-N.C).

66% Liberty score RINO. President Trump will never change his patterns of endorsements, or horrible hiring practices. Those mistakes enabled the RINO domination of his first term.

YMMV, but personally I’m tired of this crap. He needs better top advisors.

Indiana FReepers, what do you think of this guy?

That memory will be around for a while.

Trump endorses incumbents unless they cross him personally like Murkowsky did.

It’s a bad habit, we will never Make America Great Again by re-electing Assistant Democrats.

I don’t know anything about Greg other than he is Mike’s brother, but I can tell you as a Hoosier for 8 years now, I’m not likely to vote for any Pence running for office right now. Other Hoosiers may happily disagree with me.

He excoriated the nineteen GOP Senators that voted for that infrastructure bill, but he endorsed almost all of them.

This is where Hoosiers can be a bit loosey goosey. They speak their minds, which is cool, but they DO let themselves be led by those who don’t have their best interests at heart. Need to be be more discerning, IMHO.

I am in Michigan’s new 2nd district. Trump endorsed Moolenaar and he is a RINO. In fact, he has a 65% lifetime score with club for growth. On the convention floor last week, Moolenaar was pushing the guy Trump didn’t endorse for lt gov. He will screw Trump again in August and if elected in perpetuity. Norton (the America 1st candidate)is polling ahead by 12 points over Moolenaar so the establishment may get burned again. Better yet, Moolenaar has severe COVID and was running around the caucus floor last weekend infecting his constituents.

I always wondered what a religious guy like Mike Pence is thinking now seeing all the deaths from the Biden Holocaust, how he deals with the fact that he failed to stop it and the fact that quite possibly the Biden occupation could indeed result in a nuclear war with Russia resulting in hundreds of millions of deaths. Dude, you really effed up.

It’s all about the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).

They had to get that flow of illegal aliens going again.

I wish we had more true conservatives in the R party. It’s past time to stop holding our noses while we push a lever (or a button these days).

I’d almost rather vote Desantis in a primary if he runs. I like Trump better, but Desantis won’t handicap himself with crappy appointments like Trump

Pence had absolutely no power to stop it. The office of Vice President does not have the magic secret powers that you seem to think it does.

.
It’s a mistake.

Pence’s Brother voted for the Vaccination database and has voted for all the Spending.

There are so many Uniparty Swampers that run ads holding guns six weeks before the Election. After the Election, the WAPO and NYTs is their God.
