...and when you look at who the rank-and-file Republicans nominated and voted for in '88,'92,'96,'00,'04,'08 and '12, they may have been right.
The rank-and-file went off the reservation in '16 and '20 and were joined by many, many independents. The '24 GOP Presidential primary season will either solidify the Republican party around honest governance or destroy it as a viable entity going forward.
