Or maybe the nuclear powers in NATO would then give Ukraine tactical nukes to retaliate. The United Kingdom, the United States and France all promised to give Ukraine support in case of aggression when Ukraine abandoned its nukes in 1994. Russia agreed to that too. It's too late to change that now.

It's too late to change that now. Just note that support was not provided via a treaty, and which was ratified by the Senate. At the time, support for Senate ratification was not assured.

They don’t want radiation on Russian soil.
That’s one way to affect the Russian people, who’ve been kept ignorant of their country’s policy of aggression on a peaceful sovereign nation.
