That's what they say. I kept smoking for years because of that claim.

Finally, as I was smoking three packs a day I decided enough was enough.

I quit cold turkey and never looked back. I should have quit years before that.

I was a 2 pack a day from about 22 to 32, mostly Marlboro Lights. At the Base Exchange in Germany, you could buy up to 4 cartons a month, for less than $2 a carton (yeah, you read that right).

Shortly after the birth of my second child, I got wise and quit (almost) cold turkey. Oh, I had an occasional smoke on Thursday nights when I bowled, but that was it. My cravings would arise on occasion, but it wasn't long before I completely stopped.

I still enjoyed smoking, I guess I finally wised up.
