It’s because thousands upon thousands of conservatives joined up or reactivated their accounts (myself included).
That may have a little bit to do with it but while you were away there were numerous stories of people following conservative accounts and then realizing weeks later that somehow they magically un-followed them. This happened to me several times.
There were tons of stories from big conservative accounts that said their followers steadily sky rocketed until they reached a certain point and would not rise any further or even drop - even though they were rapidly growing on other forums.
I am certain that this growth is not organic. They are cleaning up the place to hide all of their malfeasance before Elon gets the keys to the kingdom.
Unfortunately for them they did it very sloppily and everyone can see what they have done (except you and techcrunch)
I haven’t been on Twitter since they permanently suspended my account in January, 2021. Yesterday I logged into my old Twitter account and shown the account is permanently suspended but I could appeal.
So for giggles I appealed the decision saying I was only exercising free speech. Twitter says they will let me know within 3 days their decision.
The post that got me banned said someone (I forget who now) had a punchable face. They stated that I was promoting violence and permanently suspended my account. Libtards got away with tweeting Nick Sandmann had a punchable face back in 2019! SMDH
