They do appear to have their turrets blown completely off, thanks to the design. Here's a YT video of a Javelin test on a Russian T-72. The turret goes 50 ft in the air and lands about 30 feet away from the carcass. At the end of the 2nd closeup of the tank being hit, you can see a big splash of dirt off to the right.
