I'm old enough to remember when Las Vegas was still fun. The showgirls and cowboys have been replaced with prostitutes and metrosexual guys with pony tails. The value meals and entertainment have been replaced with "everything is a profit center."

The only reason I go to Vegas now is the cheap flights to grab a car rental and get out of the city as quickly as possible.

I remember when Nevada and Her cities and population were an indispensable part of American life, Pioneer Spirit, Economic value and Contribution.

Including Las Vegas.

Nevada was not perfect, like every other place in America, but it was a great place to go and visit, and to live, if you had some fortitude.

I am truly sorry you and I both lost that part of Legacy America.

I read startling figure a few weeks ago when this bill was being passed in Florida. According to that report, more than 60% of the “families” that visit Disney do not bring any children with them.

The author of this piece does raise an interesting point in that context. Disney hasn’t been marketing itself to children in years. Their ideal customers apparently are stunted adults, not children.
