Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law is a gift to rival tourism destinations, like Las Vegas

May it never be said that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis isn’t the giving type. Just one month ago, with a single stroke of his pen, DeSantis gifted Southern Nevada and other tourism destinations across the country billions of dollars in tourism revenue that are likely to flow out of Florida in the wake of the state’s “Don’t Say Gay” legislation.

dont go there during the summer. The hotels would just have a gay weekend and the entire pool is filled with homos.. They wouldnt even tell the guests ahead of time why there are so many faggots in the pool at one time.

Vegas is run by big corporations now. Back when it was run well, it was run by the Mob.

I ask anyone this...What is the difference between what the Mob used to do illegally and what the Government now does “Legally?” The government made everything the mob did illegally legal, and took over.

I live 80 miles south of that place and dont go there unless I have to.

Somehow I doubt that.

...billions of dollars in tourism revenue that are likely to flow out of Florida...

Or not. Perhaps more tourists, particularly families, will go to Florida knowing their children are safe (well, safer) from pedophile groomers.

There are lots of things to do in Florida that do not involve Disney's blatant grooming. My wife and I (empty nesters) recently returned from a week plus in Florida. The Keys are very nice. Snorkeling around a reef off Islamorada was fun, even if the Nurse shark startled me. Seeing gators in the Everglades was kinda neat. We found a great little mom & pop beachfront resort in St. Petersburg. I will say "the Villages" were a little odd. Overall though a great trip.

Not one dollar went to Disney.

I'd like to go back, even though it is a long drive. Maybe go see a SpaceX launch first-hand. Heck, my wife is even talking about moving there. Though I think a couple nearing retirement moving to Florida might be a bit too much of a cliche for me. We'll see.

Well, I don’t think you can reach any conclusions about who it helps without first determining where majority sentiment actually lies. It is entirely possible - perhaps even likely - that Florida will see a net benefit from this.

Vegas has good food, distinct hotels, lots of lust for easy money, Prodigious amounts of food, alcohol..and sex. Kinda like a golden toilet bowl.

Indeed. So much for reliable journalism sources.

Ridiculous. It only states no little child needs to hear “lessons” about being homo/trannie.

And what do they care about “outing” someone? They sure love “doxing” and cancelling/banning all of us for THINKING something. As opposed to DOING something.

Well..OK. As many as it takes.

F*ckin sh*t hole.

Vegas would be alive with parties though if that were to happen.

These folks in LV are confused. Most Americans regardless of party affiliation aren’t against the bill.

Yeah right because lots of people pick their vacation destination by how friendly the locals are to pedos.

If a simple piece of legislation discourages groomers, pedophiles, homosexuals and liberal fellow travelers from coming to my state, I say bring on more bills!

Laughlin. And even there its got expensive. The staff are getting snooty just like up in Vegas.

But at least your on the water and can go into Bullhead City and places like Lake Havasu city.

Tell you all what though. That dang river is COLD below the dam. As cold as Lake Superior in the summer.

No need. They just go to Palm Springs for the free ‘play’

What the brainiacs that wrote this article failed to take into account is that any deficit of tourism (which I strongly doubt there will be much) will be more than offset by people moving here permanently.

The number of out of state license plates I see just in my town alone is unbelievable.
