Most of the real hard core long term preppers you see on youtube have supplies of spices and condiments to make things such as rice more palatable.
With things like rice and dried beans some thought has to be given as to how to heat this stuff in case of a lack of cooking fuel. A real problem for city and apartment dwellers.
As a general statement on rice there are several alternatives to standard white rice that are still inexpensive and currently available. One thing also to consider is cooking oils that is another thig expected to become scarce in the near future.
It may not be an actual mark on you, but your social score will be tied to everything you do or try to buy.
(What’s your social credit score? Do you have the implant that proves that?)

Been washing brown rice for maybe 20 years. Try it, put in a large pot fill with water and vigorously stir with your hand. You’ll see for yourself just how dirty brown rice is. Plus the stirring softens the husk. I change the water 3 or 4 tines just by tipping the pot. After this the water is clean. You’ll have fluffy and clean tasting brown rice.
Jasmine stores ten years (at least). I once tested many foods, including rice varieties for ten years, in ziploc bags in a kitchen cabinet. (e.g. No special storage). Brown rices and “wild” rice went rancid very fast (about a year, some less as I recall). White rices all lasted at least several years, but at the end of ten years the Jasmine and generic white rice were the two that stood out as tasting just as good and fresh as if they were just bought. Only a few specialty sweet rices were rancid though. Bonus info: Pasta went bad in less than two years (all varieties), flour less than that.
Dried beans made it ten years and all varieties tasted great. Canned foods (e.g. canned salmon, sardines, soups) all lasted ten years with rare exceptions (e.g. cans that were damaged and lost vacuum seal).
Does that work on cheap white rice from Walmart?
Not that I have a few bags of that, mind you...

Hi! Washing it yes, although I only wash it once to get the excess starch off. It’s fluffier and not sticky which is how we like it.
I put it in a rice cooker normally but I’ll try washing it first next time.

I don’t see why not an actual mark. Scripture is pretty clear about it being on the right hand or forehead. That’s pretty specific.

I just laid in a bunch of flour, onion and potato flakes @ 3 months ago from them. Last time I checked the website, they were out in most items.
