Taxpayers matter. WE got a great deal. If they were dumb enough to sign a fixed price well.... when in doubt read the contract.

Of course they wanted to reject it, they were stopped from stealing hundreds of millions from taxpayers.

LOL - Boeing is saying they had a deep-state troll, like Austin, next to someone like Biden, they would be getting cost-plus-plus-plus deal

The defense industry is accustomed to billing the government for incompetence that results in huge cost overruns. When incompetence is rewarded, incompetence flourishes and grows.

I had an office at Boeing in El Segundo, CA for several years when my company was teamed with them on two different satellite pursuits. They were super woke on gay issues. They could probably have made a profit on the Air Force One contract if they did not have so many employees hanging out at the urinals.

As part of the deal, Boeing signed a fixed-price contract that required the company, not taxpayers, to pay for any cost overruns during the complicated conversion of the two airliners.

Obviously should be standard in any government deal, but of course, it's hard to hide the grift without endless cost increases.

$2 billion per plane? Is it gold plated with diamond studded rivets?

Sheesh, a CEO complaining sour grapes in public is very unbecoming. It’s not our fault that Boeing couldn’t negotiate a good contract!

But... how much has Boeing made from the 14 billion the taxpayers have spent on the proxy war in Ukraine.

Exactly.

If they didn’t make a sh*t plane in the 737 max and cover it up, they’d be in a much better place now and wouldn’t be complaining about this.

Should have bought and retrofitted a couple of used A380s from Air France. Would have served Boeing right. :)

“The company revealed that it has lost $660 million outfitting the next presidential jets—so far.”

For all the money you make on all the other stuff we purchase and you complain you ate it on one purchase?

“Trump made a great deal. Boeing sucks at managing their company.”

I’d say that’s likely because Boeing deals mainly with Gov. bureaucrats with lots of taxpayer money who will pay them whatever they ask for. Then they had to deal with a business man.

Blame your sales Rep’s Boeing... they are, I am so sure are used to just being able to sign an T&M contract, and promise the world, like most sales folks.

And they will have the great Trumpian paint job that will forever make them reminiscent of Trump Force One.

Hey, you signed the contract.
