The don't have total control of the air, as the list of Russian aircraft shot down attests. They have almost no precision weapons or aircraft equipped to use them, so they have to go in low and slow and get whacked by MANPADs or Ukrainian air defense. They have to be afraid of bringing ships too close to shore or they'll get whacked like Moskva.

The Russians are not nearly is as good a position as you suggest. They may control the Donbas and southern coast as you suggest, but so far in 10 days of heavy fighting they have advanced only a few kilometers. Most of what they captured was a pocket in Luhansk east of Izyum not heavily defended. Now they are facing a defense in depth.

The Russians have been flying up to 300 sorties a day. Of course, they have control of the air, obviously more so now than when the war began given all the military targets the Russians hit and continue to hit.

You're believing propaganda that isn't remotely true. But, given that it is coming from the Biden regime, you should be able of figure that out. The Biden regime is lying again. Fancy that.

The regime wants to desperately extend the war in hopes of, somehow, hurting Russia or getting NATO involved. But, Ukrainians are dying and losing more and more of their country. That is why Donald Trump said we should be negotiating an end to the war.
