I feel like an all out war should be less concerned about corridors and civilian casualties. U.S has similar silly notions. I appreciated Trump because he was willing to fight to win and not prolonged engagements. War is not good but wars that fight for stalemate are even worst in the long term.

There is a lot of truth in that. At the end of the day, the belligerents are left asking themselves, and each other, “What did we do all this for? Was it worth it to achieve NOTHING?”
However, in certain situations a stalemate is a victory for the victim.
