Not that I am a fan of modern psychology, (as I am not), it still is worth noting a number of forensic psychological analysts from different agencies (and not all our own), had Putin tagged as possible to probable sociopath.
In time, when one is exposed to the scope of his career, as with many leftists, this becomes more clear.

Not exactly a tricky diagnosis, since almost all successful intelligence operatives have sociopathic tendencies. It’s practically a job requirement.
