Remember that all governments rule by consent. But contrary to what Democrats and leftist believe, government is not all powerful nor should it be.

We trust the government to do the right thing and when we lose that trust, all bets are off. It is a reasonable exchange; a pact between the citizen and the government. Good rule applies here: We should always hope for the best but plan for the worst. Because there is a very good chance that the worst will happen. Eventually.

After all we are humans with human nature. We are corrupted, we are flawed. By acknowledging this fact, we have improved the chances that America and the US Constitution will continue to exist in the future.
