we were saying quite clearly through our state legislatures that we did not want the definition of marriage changed so they got the Supreme Court to do it.
The people had no say.

Exactly.
The government is not sovereign. The People are sovereign.
The national government can only do 19 listed things, and not one more than that.
This government is off the rails.
