There are a couple of differences several actually Putin can control his oligarchs and he’s richer than Zelenskyy and his nukes a lot of nukes

I can’t disagree much thank you

My attorney is Ukrainian and his mother is Ukrainian and his father is Russian and what he says is different than what your friends say so who do we believe the mainstream media or a reporter who’s been in Donbas for years covering this

Probably somewhere in between

I don’t have a dog and this fight Other than being anti-globalist and Anton big tech and media admittedly I’m just trying to be realistic about where we are and it’s not easy because information is stairs outside of the propaganda from the media we usually do not trust here

Thank you for being polite

Oh please you know that’s not true they’re fighting without Putin killing each other well enough I can assure you without his help

Ukrainian Army and neo-Nazis have been in Don bus since you’re amazing as well which is why Putin put forces there to protect Russian ethics there’s blood on both sides don’t try to deny that

The real questions are whether little vlad, colonel in the communist kgb, has suddenly lost the habits and thought processes of a committed communist, or whether the russian state, immediate successor to the communist ussr, that did NOT undergo de-communisation, no longer uses the methods and western communist organs such as Covert Action to manipulate opinion of stupid people in the west for the benefit of the russian dictatorship?

“The 5 stages of arguing with a pro Putin post”

I don’t get it. What is so wrong with making a pro-Putin post, if that is what you choose to call it? Are you suggesting that our speech be censored??

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is billed as a preeminent international group which can be relied on to observe and report impartially on things like elections, border disputes, ceasefires, etc.

The fact OSCE was caught acting as a defacto spy agency for one side in Ukraine renders it useless as a neutral arbiter going forward, and confirms the worst suspicions Russia has had about the organization for years.

No, Russia is not a communist nation. It’s more like an Oligarchy/Dictatorship.

Now are you suggesting that these people are NOT far leftists? One of Patrick’s buddies literally wrote an essay in defense of Stalin. Are these the kinds of people you want to get your news and commentary from? Patrick is embedded in the Russian military. You think the Russians just let a non-biased “free lance reporter” embed with them? Putin signed a law in March that would put journalists in jail for up to 15 years if they went against his regime’s narrative. Wake up.

You talk like Putin is the leader of the free world and that the Russians are the good guys. How TF can you be so naive.

You just can’t help yourself

I suggested nothing of the sort

It’s utterly ridiculous how you people argue here you have nothing to say but personal bullshit this is ridiculous and you Attribute a fault narrative to whoever you’re speaking to

This forum used to be an exchange of ideas even if there was a disagreement you contribute nothing

You can Googleearth Street level and see for yourself if you think Russia is a communist country

To me it’s a ridiculous assertion

Is Putin I just put in charge of his oligarchs yes of course but Zelinski is hardly different except he’s not in charge of his oligarchs and he also took power undemocratically but somehow globalist media treats him like the second coming

Those two new Moscow cathedrals would never happen in a communist country.

Cathedral of Christ the Savior:

“Do you think Russia is still a communist nation?”

Mass-Murderer Lenin hasn’t been buried—out of sight. His embalmed body is still on display in Moscow with long lines of admirers. The red Soviet flag (with hammer and sickle) is still displayed.

I didn’t say russia is communist.

I said its vile dictator still uses the methods and thought processes of a colonel in the communist kgb. And russia still uses western useful idiots like Covert Action and lancaster to manipulate stupid people in the west.

Why give up a good thing? Using western useful idiots for fun and profit was pioneered by the ussr, but russia - where the successor regime that runs the country never underwent the “lustration” of some former russian satellites - picked up the baton without missing a step.

I didn’t say Zelensky is good or bad. But Ukraine didn’t invade russia.

Married to a Ukrainian there and children with her

Been reporting since euromaiden.

He is NOT a Soviet agent but he has exposed nationalist excesses in Donbass

Something cold warriors and neocons here simply don’t want to hear

Be real please

Russia is awash in private ownership and property rights

It’s a despot run oligarchy whereby the despot runs his oligarchs

Ukraine is similar except Zelensky is run by his Oligarchs and western cash

We’re propping him up in his lost cause

Ironic me using that term

You don’t know me so u don’t get it

If your think Russia is

A) communist

B) able to conquer Europe or the world without nukes and assuring their own self destruction

Then you’re poorly informed

You’re getting your info from folks I assume you didn’t believe till five minutes ago out of most of your lifetime

A left leaning journalist is not unusual,

And given the left is pro war he’d be more likely to advocate your side

I’ve followed him a fair amount 8 years

He criticizes Azov because he’s seen it first hand ...

But he also reports Russia;and separatists misbehavior too

He has a lot of footage Ukraine doesn’t want out

I’m surprised he’s not dead

AFAIK there actually still is a Communist Party in Russia but they get very little support at election time, for what Russian elections are worth. They got more support in the early years after the collapse of the USSR from older people whose lives got harder. They preferred the meager subsistence the Communist regime had provided them to the chaos that came after.

In a one party state like the USSR you had to belong to the Communist Party to have any sort of career. The same was true in Germany during the Nazi years. Membership alone doesn’t tell us much about Putin’s view of communism.

From his years in the KGB Putin will surely know the value of covertly manipulating opinion in other countries and how to do it. The internet has to make doing it even easier.

There’s a lot of evidence that “we” were meddling in Ukraine since 2004 if not earlier. John Mearsheimer calls the culprits the Global Domination wing of American politics, a coalition of neoconservatives and neoliberals, which is why the meddling in Ukraine’s internal affairs was consistent across administrations. At least until Trump arrived, and since he wasn’t going along with the global domination grand plan he earned the wrath of both parties.

One plan being kicked around by some of this coalition was the dismantling first of the USSR and then the Russian Federation next, turning it into a fractured set of independent states. Putin will have taken them seriously, while most of us here in America weren’t aware.
