I wholeheartedly agree, but would not resort to name-calling. We are better than that here. The person open carrying makes himself/herself a target in the event they are at the location of an intended crime involving firearms as the shooter will try to neutralize whoever would be able to shoot back first.
We just passed constitutional carry in Georgia. Going home last evening saw a Black guy on a motorcycle open carrying. I look for it to be more prevalent here going forward. I guess we’ll find out if it provokes attack.

Agreed. Open carry makes you target number one for both bad guys and LEO’s when the SHTF.

Open carry is stupid unless in a combat environment.

yes, makes person target. I generally prefer concealed carry and when I do open carry, I always also have a concealed carry as back up.

I agree, so do I. Why make ourselves targets? I would prefer to be unnoticed until I had to draw. Why let someone sneak up, conk me over the head and take it?
That's what they were attempting in Denver when Matthew Dolloff shot Lee Keltner. Dolloff was twitchy, knowing that they were trying to bait a conservative into reaching for a firearm - and then he overreacted when Keltner used the pepper spray instead.
IMO, that case was dropped because the media was neck-deep in planning the whole thing.
Many on the left believe that a short skirt is a provocation to rape.
