Thus if used for nukes, the eastern third of Ukraine might be contaminated, and then it would spread to the western parts of Russia. Would Putin be that self-destructive. I suspect these are important grain and potatoe areas for Russia. On the other hand 2/3 rds of Ukraine might not be much affected.
